Facilities Services – Apprenticeship

Salary: £7.55 per hour

The SCQF Level 5 apprenticeship programme will take up to 15 months to complete.

What does a life as Facilities Maintenance look like?
FM services are core to our business, and we work closely with the other maintenance divisions that make up most of our business. We have developed a highly successful partnering model to deliver innovative FM services to clients and end users from a variety of sectors and cultural backgrounds throughout the UK.
The apprenticeship course will cover the following:
* Complying with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation (Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974)
* Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance in accordance with SOPs
* Reporting issues and problems in accordance with SOPs
* Carrying out inspections of premises and facilities
* Ensuring communal areas meet required standards of cleanliness and presentation
* Providing support to the access management system
* Collating FM and health and safety information as specified
What do you need to be a successful applicant:
* GCSEs in English and maths national 5 or above
* The ability and desire to learn and develop a thorough knowledge of the skills, technology and safety procedures
* Strong communication skills
* You will live in the West Lothian area
* You will be expected to get to Branch every day for 08.00am and make your own way home after finishing work
* Be able to establish and maintain good customer/client relationships
* Successful applicants are required to complete a basic Math & English test with potential of a practical test at interview stage
