SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT Full time Hours 8:15 am - 3:30om ASAP START Full Time Responsibilities: Collaborate with class teachers, SENCO, and SEN Manager to provide supervision and support to students with SEN, facilitating effective learning in both individual and group settings, considering their unique needs. Support students in developing fundamental skills such as language, reading, writing, spelling, mathematics, concentration, and social skills. Assist in clarifying and reinforcing subject matter to enhance curriculum access. Aid in the development of basic ICT skills among students and support the integration of ICT in learning activities. Prepare appropriate assignments under teacher guidance, and create or modify resources like worksheets and sight cards to ensure students can engage with learning activities at their comprehension level. Maintain close communication with the class teacher and external professionals to support the implementation of intervention and therapy programs. Monitor and report on students' progress, highlighting achievements and developments. Assist students in daily living activities, including personal care, monitoring conditions, and potentially supporting with medication and feeding requirements. Although currently a mainstream school, there may be a future focus on helping students become independent in tasks like washing and dressing. Establish positive relationships with parents/carers, providing information and feedback as agreed upon under the teacher's guidance. Support students' emotional and social needs by modeling positive behavior in alignment with the school's Behavior policy and maintaining high expectations for work and conduct.
