The Geography programme at Bromley Schools' Collegiate focuses on teaching both physical and human geography, equipping you to inspire students with critical thinking about global issues. This course combines theoretical knowledge with practical teaching experience, giving you the skills needed to engage students with the physical world and its social, economic, and environmental challenges. Through two contrasting placements, you will gradually take on more responsibility, from assisting with lessons to planning and delivering your own.

Mentoring and Support:
Mentorship will be provided throughout your training by experienced Geography teachers who will guide you and provide feedback to help you refine your teaching skills.
Bursaries & Scholarships:
* Bursary: £26,000 for eligible candidates
* DfE Scholarships: £31,000 for high-calibre applicants
Entry Requirements:
* Qualifications: A good degree (minimum 2:2) in Geography or a closely related subject. At least 50% of your undergraduate degree should be in Geography, or a Grade B or higher in A-Level Geography.
* GCSEs: English and Maths (minimum grade C/4). Free equivalency tests are available for candidates who do not meet these qualifications.
* Personal Qualities: A passion for geography and the ability to inspire young minds to think critically about global issues.
Other Requirements:
* No prior classroom experience required, although relevant experience working with young people is beneficial.
* Criminal record checks, health screening, and references will be required upon a successful offer.
Fees:
* QTS only: £8,000
* QTS with PGCE: £9,200 (Fees are fixed for September 2025)
