Full Time Mentor
Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic individual to become a mentor for Emotional Literacy Support Assistant. The role is on a long-term basis until June with an immediate start for the right individual.
Starting Date: ASAP
Location: Southwark
Responsibilities:
1. Emotional Literacy support for specific pupils from years 7-11, for catch-up tuition.
2. Relationship building with teachers and specific students.
3. Proactive engagement to boost students' confidence.
4. Mentoring and supporting 1-1 or in small groups.
5. Occasional classroom assistance when no students are available.
6. After school private study time will be necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Emotional Literacy Support experience or qualification.
2. Experience of working as a teaching assistant/Tutor (desired but not essential).
3. Counselling experience.
4. Interest in the education sector.
5. Current enhanced DBS (or willing to process one).
6. Recent graduate (graduated within last 2 years) (desired but not essential).
7. Ability to engage with and inspire young learners.
