Role Overview: We are recruiting for an amazing school that is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to Year 1 pupils during morning sessions from Monday to Friday. This position is a 0.6 FTE contract, focusing solely on morning teaching responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 1 pupils.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and pupil engagement.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity in the delivery of the curriculum.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and any behavioural concerns.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1.
* Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
* Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs of pupils.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and parents.
