Maintain and develop staff competencies in the application of Radiotherapy treatment delivery by ensuring staff are up to date with all new techniques, offering accurate and safe delivery of treatment. Ensure the provision of a quality service which meets the needs of individual patients and their carers attending the department. Undertakes audit as part of Quality Management Team and supports the Head of Radiotherapy regarding service development initiatives as appropriate. Be responsible for initiating a response to an emergency radiation incident within the service as required. To act as Radiation Protection Supervisor for the radiotherapy treatment area.
