Buying Assistant
Location – North London (on-site)
Salary - £30 to 45k
In this role you will play an essential part in supporting the buying department by managing administrative tasks, analyzing data, and strengthening supplier relationships. This position presents a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with an established builders retailer, while making a meaningful impact on the growth of a fast-paced, dynamic department.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and update product data in our systems.
* Handle administrative tasks for purchasing and invoice processing.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to inform decisions.
* Collaborate across departments for smooth product launches, inventory management, and merchandising.
* Analyze data on sales performance, stock levels, and purchasing decisions.
* Support pricing analysis and implement adjustments as needed.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
* Work with buyers and branch managers to analyze sales and identify opportunities before supplier meetings.
Requirements:
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Detail-oriented with a strong willingness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Commercially aware with a keen interest in consumer trends.
