OVERVIEW A Finance Manager position has been newly created within a growing SME business based in Herefordshire. This pivotal role, paying between will lead a small, talented finance team and take ownership of management accounts and financial reporting offering an excellent opportunity to play a central role in the companys growth journey. ROLE The Finance Manager will act as the companys lead finance professional, taking responsibility for the delivery of accurate financial reporting and providing the insights required to drive business performance. This role will free up the Finance Director to focus on strategic initiatives, while the Finance Manager takes charge of day-to-day finance operations. Key Responsibilities: Deliver accurate and timely management accounts and financial reporting. Oversee the finance team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high performance. Act as the key point of contact for all financial queries and decisions within the business. Support and mentor team members through their professional exams, ensuring their growth aligns with the companys ambitions. Collaborate with non-financial stakeholders to drive understanding of financial performance and influence decision-making. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and drive improvements in financial processes. PERSON We are looking for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in an SME environment. Youll need to be comfortable leading a small team while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver results. Key Attributes: Proven experience in a similar finance leadership role, ideally within an SME environment. Strong management accounts and financial reporting skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience mentoring and supporting team members in their professional development. Industry experience within consumer, logistics, or related sectors is highly desirable. OFFER Salary : £40,000-£50,000 depending on experience. Location : Herefordshire full-time on-site role.
