Description
Due to recent, continued growth, Art Security Solutions are now looking to employ a new apprentice! The successful individual will get the opportunity to work for an established employer and become a multi-disciplined Fire and Security engineer.
Initially, the successful apprentice will be working with an experienced engineer; learning how to install, maintain, service, and fault find in relation to fire and security systems.
You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team meeting tight deadlines. You should also be a good listener, who is able to follow instructions while also using your own intuition.
You should be committed to learning more about the wider fire and security industry whilst you develop your skills.
Entry requirements
Desired skills/qualities:
* MUST hold a full, clean UK driver's license
* Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS background check
* Ideally live within 10 miles of office postcode (RG9 area)
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
* Ensure all company tools and equipment are maintained and in good working order
* Adhere to company dress code and be courteous with clients
* Knowledge of basic power tool usage and electrics would be beneficial
* Comfortable working at high and low heights
Training to be provided
Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at their Watford training centre. You will attend the centre one week every eight weeks.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company requires you to complete.
Mitie will offer on-the-job training including mentoring and shadowing to ensure you develop on the skills learned during your training weeks.

This vacancy is apprenticeship minimum wage for year 1, and national minimum wage for your age group year 2 onwards.
