Job Description
The Field Service Representative (FSR) position at IDV USA is a technical expert responsible for maintaining and repairing military vehicles in various field locations. Their primary role is to ensure the operational readiness and reliability of these vehicles, often working in challenging environments where quick and effective repairs are essential. The job exists to minimize equipment downtime and to provide technical support and training to military personnel, which helps maintain mission readiness. Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform On-Site Diagnostics and Repairs:
1. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and software issues in military vehicles.
2. Use specialized tools and testing equipment to assess vehicle conditions and pinpoint faults.
3. Implement immediate repair solutions to restore vehicle functionality in field conditions.
* Conduct Preventive Maintenance:
1. Inspect vehicles regularly to identify wear, corrosion, or damage before failure occurs.
2. Replace worn components and lubricate parts according to maintenance schedules.
3. Document findings and maintenance activities to keep accurate service records.
* Provide Technical Training and Support to Military Personnel:
1. Train military operators and maintenance crews on basic repair techniques and troubleshooting.
2. Conduct hands-on demonstrations and instructional sessions on using specialized tools and equipment.
3. Offer on-the-spot guidance to resolve vehicle issues during missions or exercises.
* Document and Report Field Data:
1. Record all diagnostic findings, repair actions, and parts used for each service.
2. Submit detailed reports to headquarters to track repair trends and parts usage.
3. Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest potential improvements for future vehicle models.
* Ensure Safety and Compliance Standards:
1. Follow strict safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment during repair activities.
2. Adhere to military and industry standards for vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
3. Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to ensure team adherence to procedures.
* Coordinate Logistics for Parts and Equipment:
1. Order necessary parts and tools to maintain a ready supply for vehicle repairs.
2. Manage and track inventory to ensure critical components are available when needed.
3. Communicate with supply chain and logistics teams to coordinate delivery in field locations.
Qualifications
