About the role
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Senior BIM Coordinator or BIM Model Manager to join our team based in our London office.
It's an exciting time to join our Digital Engineering team. Working alongside a range of specialist engineers and consultants, you will be joining a collaborative, knowledgeable, highly engaged team who love what they do, and offer a supportive, flexible, and high-performing work culture.
You will be responsible for managing the BIM/Revit processes at both the office and project levels, from scheme design through to tender. It is essential to be comfortable prioritising your own workload as well as that of your team to ensure all deadlines are met. You will be part of a larger BIM Managers community within Hoare Lea and are expected to actively participate in this network. As a team member, you will also encourage and mentor those around you.
In this key and varied role, you can expect to:
1. Work closely with the firm-wide BIM solutions group and Office BIM Steering Group to define office and firm-wide strategies in relation to project delivery.
2. Oversee the Digital Engineering team in the office.
3. Oversee and support the development of the BIM Technician pool.
4. Ensure Document Control has the correct tools and resources to carry out their work.
5. Develop relationships with project partners and clients.
6. Represent Hoare Lea externally in Digital Engineering related arenas at a project level.
7. Advise project/team leader and task information managers where necessary.
8. Agree on BIM Execution Plans to aid project delivery and protect Hoare Lea’s commercial position.
9. Ensure quality standards and technical accuracy are delivered and report to line manager on progress.
10. Review and comment on project-related information from other professionals.
11. Take an active role in the professional development of others.
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
1. Considerable experience in BIM Management within the MEP industry.
2. Commitment to effectively deliver high quality.
3. Articulate and able to provide clear and concise explanations of ideas and procedures.
4. IT literate with a technical understanding of IT packages relevant to the role, mainly Revit.
5. Act in a professional, personable, and competent manner.
6. Actively support junior team members and show commitment to personal and continuing professional development.
7. Keen eye for detail and a methodical approach.
8. Excellent communication skills and comfortable communicating with people at all levels to enable you to build good working relationships.
