The Power and Sensor Systems – Power ICs product line develops, manufactures and markets digital multiphase controllers, integrated power stages, power modules and Point-of-load (POL) products for the computing, networking, communications, and artificial intelligence (AI) markets. We are looking for a Sr. Staff Product Application Engineer (PAE) to work on the validation and design-in of our products for customer applications.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
* Product application support of digital multi-phase controllers, integrated power stages and power modules in multiphase synchronous buck converter for computing, networking, communication and AI applications
* Design and test new product evaluation boards
* Validate new products and VR solutions for customer applications
* Create go-to-market evaluation boards, reference design schematics, application notes and design tools for new products
* Support customer design-in activities including schematic & layout reviews, board bring up, system-level validation and debugging of technical problems
* Provide technical training to FAEs, sales, and customers
* Approximately 10% of travel time to provide on-site customer support.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
* MSEE with 1-3 years working experience in the field of Power Electronics
* Good knowledge in DC/DC power conversion topologies, power MOSFET characteristics, magnetics and control loop designs
* Hands-on experience in designing DC/DC switching power supplies
* Good lab skills in using digital oscilloscopes, function generators and network analyzers for the test and debug of switching power supplies
* Experience in using schematic entry, circuit simulation, and PCB layout tools
* Effectively take multi-tasks, manage priorities and solve technical problems independently
* Well-organized, self-driven, good written and verbal communication skills, and work effectively in a team environment
