Morson Talent are currently looking for a B1.3 Licenced Engineer for one of our clients in Scotland.
Job Title: B1.3 Licensed Engineer (Scotland)
Location: Clyde Heliport, 16 Linthouse Road, Govan, Glasgow G51 4BZ
Purpose of Role:
The B1.3 Licensed Engineer based at Glasgow Airport is responsible for ensuring the delivery of serviceable aircraft and maintaining engineering facilities to meet the operational requirements of the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform repairs and maintenance on aircraft airframe and engine systems as defined in the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
Raise tasks and issue all approved materials for maintenance through the Maintenance Interface System.
Ensure the correct use and control of tooling, ground support equipment, and materials.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, completing all paperwork and documentation as required.
Address Carry Forward Defects or Deferred Defects in accordance with the Minimum Equipment List (MEL), under guidance from the LMC or Duty Manager.
Plan to ensure availability of serviceable equipment, airworthiness data, tools, and materials to complete tasks.
Perform line maintenance tasks as scheduled and conduct general ground handling of rotary aircraft.
Travel to provide support at other line stations (e.g., Perth, Aberdeen) as required.
Additional Accountabilities:
Provide duplicate signatures or holiday cover for base/line engineers.
Maintain the hangar’s cleanliness and organization.
Occasionally liaise with customers in a professional manner.
Report any safety issues or unexpected outcomes via the company reporting system.
Key Technical Skills & Competencies:
Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance regulations, requirements, and standards.
Experience in rotary aircraft maintenance, particularly line/base maintenance.
Competent in the use of tools, ground support equipment, and SMS/flight safety protocols.
Proficient in English, with the ability to complete documentation and paperwork effectively.
Basic IT skills and a valid UK driving license.
Company/Industry Knowledge:
Experience with line/base maintenance on rotary aircraft.
Familiarity with maintenance operations involving the EC-135 and/or H-145 type ratings (preferred).
Qualifications:
CAA Part 66 B1.3 AML, preferably with EC-135 and/or H-145 type ratings.
Basic IT skills and a valid UK driving license.
Outputs/Deliverables:
Ensure a high standard of work meeting aviation standards and safety regulations.
Contribute positively to the achievement of planning milestones and scheduled engineering work.
Support manpower and scheduled line maintenance plans while prioritizing workload effectively.
