We have a unique opportunity for an aspiring Safety professional to help us ‘Brew a Safe Culture’ across our Brewery and Support Office.
The role of a Brewery and Tenanted Safety Advisor is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for two main areas of safety; Health & Safety and Fire Safety and can share their enthusiasm and drive to influence our teams whilst progressing their career. As part of the small (3 including you) but perfectly formed Safety Team you will work closely with internal stakeholders in our Property, Engineering, Production and Tenanted teams, communicating and ensuring compliance with our safety policies and procedures, together with arranging safety-related training. You will assist the People Leaders in each function and our Tenanted Pubs with investigations following accidents or incidents, advise post-audits on corrective actions and collectively, influence everyone to maintain a safe workplace for all.

12. Working Hours: Full-time, hours per week. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid).
Duties and Responsibilities:
13. Provide day-to-daysupport to the wider safety team and collaborate with all Brewery and SupportOffice stakeholders to drive a best-practice safety culture
14. Advise the PeopleLeaders to prioritise, improve and complete all corrective actions following dailyobservations, internal auditing and third-party inspection
15. Assist the Safety Teamwith the creation and execution of safety protocols including Risk Assessments,Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs), Accident, Incident and Near-Miss investigation recordingand reporting
16. Work closely withthe Facilities Manager to ensure continuous statutory compliance across theBrewery and Support Office site
17. Support the developmentand implementation of new safety policies and systems
18. Objectivelycultivate collaborative interactions to continually improve the company safetysystems
19. Create and maintain safetyfiles for the Brewery and Support Office in a confidential manner
20. Monitor, escalate,react and influence for continued compliance in all areas of safety
21. Accurately captureall relevant business statutory compliance items on the required system
22. Advise PeopleLeaders and Tenanted pubs to process and record all accidents, incidents andnear misses, reports and escalations
23. Broaden workingknowledge of Health and Safety and Fire Safety legislation that may affect our business
24. Other duties as needed and requested by the Safety Manager
The Ideal Candidate:
25. Preferred but notessential Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (aspiration to becomequalified is preferred)
26. Previous knowledgeand experience of safety within the manufacturing industry
27. Observant andproficient in identifying, rectifying and escalating hazards promptly
28. Passion forpromoting and supporting a safety-focused culture with the confidence to takeownership of key initiatives
29. Conscientiousprofessional with a strong commitment to safety
30. Friendly andapproachable with the ability to communicate effectively with internal andexternal stakeholders, both written and verbal
31. Diligent with astrong attention to detail and accuracy
32. Proficient inMicrosoft Office 365 (Word, Excel & Outlook) and data analytical skills
33. Organised to effectively prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-pacedenvironment
