Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Private Client Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for private client work and a desire to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting solicitors with the management of a varied caseload, including wills, probate, and estate administration.
* Drafting legal documents, including wills, lasting powers of attorney, and trust deeds.
* Conducting legal research and preparing briefing notes.
* Communicating with clients, providing updates, and gathering necessary information.
* Assisting with the preparation of court documents and applications for probate.
* Liaising with external professionals such as financial advisors, accountants, and valuers.
* Maintaining accurate and organized case files, both electronically and in hard copy.
* Supporting the team with general administrative duties as required.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in a paralegal role, preferably within a private client department.
* Strong knowledge of private client law, including wills, probate, and trusts.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software.
* A team player with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Legal qualifications such as a Law Degree, LPC, or equivalent.
* Experience using case management software.
