Global Biologics Digital Product Owner

Role Purpose:
Lonza is a Biologics Manufacturing business and therefore, this person will serve as the voice of our Manufacturing Operations to guide the development of our digital capabilities.
These digital capabilities will serve our Development Services and Manufacturing business and/or will provide data or data products to our Customers. They will lead a team of x7 Global Product Owners who act as the business owner for a Product Category and all products within that Category, ensuring the digital system meets the business needs.
Key responsibilities:
1. Act as a global service and Product Owner that pulls together all the individual service and product owners and ensures there is alignment on how products / services are managed across the network
2. Accountable for their teams agile deployment and iterative evolution of network solutions, utilizing the IT organization's platforms as a foundation for development
3. Responsible for ensuring the systems required to manage the Product are maintained by their team (e.g. the system may contain a single or multiple software solutions to achieve the endpoint user goal, e.g. aggregation prediction)
4. Responsible for ensuring the team defines the business process supported by the computerized system/s
5. Accountable for setting the validation and compliance expectation for Products and Processes owned by their team
6. Maintains oversight of the integrity and performance of computerized systems by working closely with the IT organization to meet the business objectives of the product
7. Coordinates closely with IT/OT system owners for the operation and support of network solutions, ensuring a unified approach to system lifecycle management across the Product portfolio
8. Also required to own Products from the Product Owner portfolio
Key requirements:
9. Degree - Biotechnology or similar related degree (any science background or maths/STEM)
10. Held an operational role in Biopharma and Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing
11. Broad knowledge about digital technologies such as mobile technologies, Internet of Things, Data Science, cybersecurity, etc. in the context of manufacturing
12. Good understanding of agile delivery methods
13. Innovation Management methods incl. development of Business Models & Business Cases
14. Good understanding of regulated environments and related challenges for digital transformation projects.
15. Proven experience with IT Security topics in the context of digitalization
16. Proficiency in managing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to operationalization, growth, and eventual retirement or replacement
17. Effective communication and influencing skills to gain buy-in from stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams
