We’re currently seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join a well-respected Housing Association based in the Scottish Borders on a short-term contract to support the team during a busy period.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in housing management to make an immediate impact within a supportive and community-focused organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

Rent Arrears Management
Proactive management of rent accounts, working closely with tenants to prevent and recover arrears, and taking appropriate action where necessary.

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Management
Responding to and investigating reports of ASB, liaising with relevant partners to resolve issues and support residents.

Empty Homes Management
Ensuring void properties are turned around efficiently, coordinating repairs, and supporting swift lettings to minimise void loss.
*
Estate Management
Regular estate inspections, identifying and resolving issues, working closely with maintenance teams, contractors, and residents to maintain safe and pleasant communities.
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in a similar Housing Officer role

Strong working knowledge of relevant housing legislation and best practice
*
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
*
Ability to work independently and manage a busy patch effectively
*
Driving license and access to a vehicle may be required due to the rural nature of some locations
