The Role
As Ledger Supervisor, you will lead and oversee the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and General Ledger functions, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with NHS Scotland policies and regulations. You will be responsible for:
Supervising and supporting a small ledger team, providing training, guidance, and performance management.
Overseeing the processing of supplier invoices and payments, ensuring compliance with financial governance requirements.
Managing debt recovery and credit control procedures, ensuring timely income collection.
Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including ledger reconciliations and reporting.
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries and enhance processes.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an individual with:
NVQ Level 5, AAT qualified, or equivalent experience to Degree/HND Level, in finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Previous experience in financial administration, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ledger management.
Experience in supervising or managing a finance team in a complex organisation.
Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse financial data and implement solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
