We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team, working across multiple sites within the Cambridge and Peterborough. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee statutory compliance activities, including fire doors, lift inspections, asbestos management, and Safe Systems of Work.
* Implement and maintain inspection programmes for fire doors and asbestos management across the property portfolio.
* Ensure accurate asset data management, including updates to CAFM systems and PPM planners following physical changes.
* Provide technical support to the operational team, ensuring compliance with current legislation and standards.
* Supervise sub-contractors, manage risk assessments, and support QHSE documentation and compliance reporting.
About You
* Experience in a similar compliance role, ideally within an NHS or healthcare environment.
* Formal qualification for Fire Door assessments (e.g., BMTRADA or LPCB) and an IOSH qualification are essential.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Estates-related compliance, including Fire Safety, Safe Water Systems, Asbestos Management, and other critical systems.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and manage external contractors.
