The role… ICT Teacher
Start Date: January 2024
Duration: First Half initially.
Timetable: Full or Part Time
Key Stage: 3-5

As the new ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students the fundamental concepts, skills, and practical applications of computer science, digital literacy, and ICT tools.
The role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and promoting the use of technology in education. The ICT teacher will encourage students to develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and critical thinking through the use of technology in various contexts.
* Develop and deliver high-quality ICT lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
* Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
* Use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage students, including interactive lessons, multimedia resources, and educational software.
* Incorporate practical applications and hands-on learning experiences (e.g., coding, website creation, digital art).
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in ICT, Education, or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in teaching up to KS5.
* Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
* To attend Parents Evening and discuss pupils' academic progress and future targets.
