This is a Full Time, Permanent, Employed position. That means that you are paid for ALL working days and include Holiday Pay and Sick Pay. There is also unlimited overtime at a higher rate and you are paid from the time that you start at the depot, not when you arrive on site.
Our client is an established and award-winning Tree Care and Landscaping contractor with a proven track record in delivering Commercial installation and maintenance projects.
The company are looking to increase the capacity of their Arboriculture Team and can do this at a number of levels from Groundsman, supporting Arborist Climbers through to Tree Surgeon and Climber. This flexible requirement means that the duties of the role and its salary can be adapted to suit your skills and qualifications. At a minimum level you will have a year’s experience as an Arb Groundsman, be competent in the use of a chipper and hold CS30 & 31 certificates (NPTC: 201 & 202). Higher salaries will be considered for more experience, possibly as a Tree Surgeon or Climber together with CS 38 & 39 certification (NPTC certificates: 206/306 & 308).
The principal duties will centre on tree pruning, dismantling & felling. The Groundsman role will include ground-based chainsaw work, clearing cut material, running the chipper, assisting the Climbers and maintaining site H&S. The ariel role will include tree surgery, pruning and treating pest and disease. Staff at all levels should have a sound understanding of current industry best practice in Climbing and Arboriculture together with some knowledge of tree disease and defects. You should have a positive attitude towards Health & Safety regulations and the nature of the work requires candidates to hold the relevant industry qualifications together with a full Driving Licence.
