An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fair Trading Officer to join our busy Fair Trading & Product Safety team.

The ideal candidate will have experience of conducting criminal investigations and will have knowledge relating to illicit tobacco and e-cigarette enforcement, as this will be the main area of work for this particular role. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in a full range of duties including investigations, inspections, advising business/consumers and project work.
Ideally you will have, or be working towards, a relevant Trading Standards qualification such as CSCATS, FCATS, DCATS or equivalent. We are also happy to accept applications from those willing to undertake these qualifications. We would look to support the right candidate to achieve a Trading Standards qualification, or possibly an appropriate apprenticeship, in line with the person specification for this post.
Starting salary grade will depend on level of qualifications achieved and demonstrable experience.
