Salary: £22,974 - £23,707 (Depending on Experience) Plus Benefits!

We are currently recruiting for dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team to support in our Young Adult's Homes.
About Seashell Trust:
Originally founded in 1823, Seashell Trust is a nationally recognised and registered charity based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. The Trust comprises of the Royal School Manchester, the Royal College Manchester, 17 bespoke Residential Care Homes, Outreach Health and Family Services. We provide expert Residential care and Education for children and young people with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairments, communication disorders and autism.
About the Residential Homes:
At Seashell, our 17 bespoke Residential Homes are purpose-built with a ‘home from home’ feel, we provide 24-hour care, weekly and termly boarding and 52-week placement. As a Residential Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to be part of this special setting, where you can contribute to creating a comfortable and familiar atmosphere for our young adults.
About the role:
Working one-to-one providing daily care and support for our young adults including supporting their personal care needs, mobility, daily routine, communication, independent living skills, learning and access to leisure activities. Shift patterns are over 7 days, with alternate weekends required (with enhanced pay rates), but no nights. Shifts are typically 7:30am-3pm or 2:30pm-10pm and split shifts.
Challenging behaviours will present in this role, so to fully support our young adults and staff, candidates should be prepared to work at times in a high-pressured environment. Within our unique induction programme, we provide behaviour management training. Plus, ongoing support once in role.
About you:
Experience is not an essential requirement for this position as we offer an initial two-week Seashell specific induction, plus ongoing training and development support. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate flexibility, can adapt quickly to change and most importantly, align with our values: Integrity, Involvement, and Innovation.
Good communication and interpersonal skills will be utilised when collaborating with families, professionals and other agencies to provide a consistent service which meets the needs of our children and young adults. You will have a willingness to complete the care certificate and work towards the relevant vocational qualification such as QCF Level 3 Diploma Children’s & Young People’s Workforce, NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care (CCYP).
