A dedicated and passionate Design Technology Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Tameside, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 from September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely for the full academic year.
This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Tameside teachers.
You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, attending departmental meetings, and being available for parents’ evenings. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge pupils’ learning. The school teaches GCSE and focuses on building knowledge throughout KS3 and KS4. You will also mark work and provide feedback in tandem with AfL.
The school provides a safe and happy environment, with high expectations for behavior that are matched by enthusiastic students. Opportunities include involvement in activities outside the classroom such as sports, drama clubs, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree educated with a good classification
* Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, QTS, etc.)
* Previous experience working with young people (references available)
* Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (references available)
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year
* Up-to-date Prevent awareness training issued within the last 3 years
* Up-to-date behaviour management & FGM training (training can be provided)
ELIGIBILITY:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered with the update service or willing to process a new application (costs apply)
* Provide two professional references
