We have an exciting opportunity to join our well established Pan Dorset Intellectual Disability (ID) CAMHS service., This role is a full time permanent position within the pan-Dorset ID CAMHS service. The role will involve working across the two sites in Dorset - Southbourne and Dorchester, with your base of work being at Marvin House. You will need to have a valid driving licence and use of a car as you will be required to review and monitor patients in their own homes and within other community settings. Opportunities for flexible working are available as long as the service needs are met., To assist with the planning, delivery and review of individual intervention plans as part of the Pan Dorset Intellectual Disabilities (ID) CAMHS Team.
To carry out treatments, procedures, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with Trust policies promoting a person-centred approach at all times.
To assist in ensuring that young people and their families have input into and engage effectively with interventions and are able to access appropriate services
To assist young people to gain access to resources/services including school.
To participate in clinical supervision in line with organisational policy.
To work collaboratively at all times with a range of professionals and organisations liaising regularly with key workers.
To develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with young people and their families based on mutual respect and honesty, ensuring appropriate boundaries are maintained at all times.
To be aware of the importance of team working and provide accurate written and verbal reports to the multi-disciplinary team on individual young people's progress, including attending case conferences.
As required to carry out specific work with individual children as outlined in individual behaviour and skills plans.
To act as a role model to junior staff upholding and implementing good practice in the workplace, always ensuring the highest standards of evidence-based care.
