Are you a GMC registered doctor, with experience of working in Psychiatry as part of a multi-disciplinary team?
Join the St Marys team as a junior specialty doctor to deliver high-quality clinical service across acute, secure and rehabilitation wards at St Marys hospital under the direction of consultant psychiatrists.
You will be working under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrists at St Marys hospital. You will be an integral part of wider MDT.
There are great learning opportunities as you work with the full multidisciplinary team and can benefit from a well-established CPD programme.
The Junior Specialty Doctor role involves:
* Reviewing patient's mental state and medications regularly with the consultant supervision.
* Liaising with the GP service and physical health team to ensure good quality physical healthcare.
* Completing admission assessments in a timely manner.
* Attending and contributing to ward rounds, CPA reviews and other clinical meetings.
* Preparing reports for CPA meetings and legal hearings under supervision.
* Liaising with MDT members and nursing team to ensure high quality care for our patients.
* Participating in a regional on call rota.
To be successful as a Junior Speciality Doctor, you'll need:
* Full GMC registration
* At least 6 months experience in Psychiatry
* Experience of working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams
* Ability to commute between sites to fulfil on call responsibilities. Driving License is desirable
