Are you detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about food safety? We are recruiting a Technical Assistant position where you will play a vital role in ensuring quality and compliance within this grower packer.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and implement food safety protocols and procedures.
Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Accurately document inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
Manage documentation and record-keeping as part of the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
Oversee the raw material and supplier approval system.
Maintain and update raw material specifications, supplier certifications, and Supplier Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs).
Investigate major supplier raw material non-compliance, escalating serious concerns when necessary.
Assist with customer audits and ensure a seamless audit process.About You:
Experience in a food manufacturing environment is beneficial.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to address issues clearly and calmly.
Attention to detail with good punctuation, spelling, grammar, and numeracy skills.
