WHAT TO EXPECT
The Finished Vehicle Distribution department is responsible for the movement of new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles to retailers in over 100 markets worldwide. We organise, manage, and monitor the movement of every vehicle produced globally, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining high quality standards. Managing operations, supplier relationships, and developing distribution strategies are key to delivering a Customer First service to our markets, retailers, and customers worldwide.
The primary goal for Distribution Quality is to uphold Plant Quality standards throughout the global distribution chain, across all modes of transport, up to the final delivery point. When damage or technical issues occur, it is our responsibility to manage repairs and recover losses from liable parties.
Role Responsibilities
* Manage the contract with JLR’s claims recovery agent, overseeing all aspects of the relationship and service levels, ensuring KPI metrics are met, and resolving issues proactively.
* Support the claims process to ensure successful recoveries from service providers for damaged vehicles in transit, leading escalation meetings and managing issues from retailers, NSCs, and importers.
* Lead regular reviews with the Claims Agent to monitor performance, manage financial trackers, and address outstanding recoveries, top-up funds, and invoice queries.
* Support the wider quality team to ensure quality standards are maintained with suppliers, promoting damage prevention and continuous improvement based on lessons learned and best practices.
* Lead departmental audits for FVD, ensuring documentation is current and teams are prepared.
What You’ll Need
* Experience in the Automotive Industry (OEM or Supplier) or relevant stakeholder functions such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Service, or Quality.
* Experience in contract and supplier management.
* Ability to understand, challenge, and improve processes, resolving technical issues with cross-functional teams.
* Capability to work independently or as part of a team, both strategically and in detail.
* A valid driving license; occasional travel to other sites, ports, or distribution centers will be required.
