New Rickstones Academy is graded ‘Good’ (November 2023) and has a modern building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff. Over the last 9 years the school has seen a huge increase in student numbers, with the number of students on roll more than doubling. The school is now oversubscribed and our newest building, which opened September 2022, was to meet this demand. New Rickstones Academy is a great place to work with a friendly and supportive staff team. Staff numbers have also increased and the school is proud to boast high staff retention rates. Staff development is a priority with an extensive and hugely successful CPD (Continuing Professional Development) program to further develop our excellent staff.
We are growing our Exams team and looking for enthusiastic Exams Invigilators & Reader/Scribes. This is a flexible role that provides full training and the opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible and readily available during the main exam periods. Candidates will also need good organisational and communication skills.
Your role will involve:
* Supervising students during internal and external examinations
* Following the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ Regulations)
* Working on a casual, as required basis through the academic year
* Being available for shifts that vary across the school day (morning, afternoon, or both)
* Being ready to start work at 8am on scheduled days
* Attending a compulsory induction training day if you are a new starter
