The strategic development, organisation, management and delivery of multidisciplinary library and information services in support of the highest quality patient care, research, education and professional development.
The post is based in the Shrewsbury Health Library at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high quality services at the Princess Royal and Royal Shrewsbury hospital site libraries and for the overall strategic management of the Shared Library Service.
The post holder is responsible for the management of service level agreements with all University and NHS partners.
The post holder is line manager for a team of staff, including two professionally qualified librarians. The post holder manages a resource and staffing budget of approx. £380k.
The Shared Library Service provides services to Trust staff, to students from several universities, to health care staff in Shropshire and to volunteers in the Trust.
The role will also support the SaTH Education Support Unit with the estate management of SaTH Education, Research & Improvement Institute
