Chef - Longridge Hall Care Home
* £14.96 per hour
* 32.5 hours per week
* Shifts: 7:30am - 5:30pm
Nestled in the heart of Longridge, Longridge Hall Care Home is a friendly and welcoming residential care facility where residents truly feel at home. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/Chef to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring that our residents enjoy nutritious, high-quality meals every day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and Serve Meals: Deliver appetising, nutritious, and well-balanced meals that meet the dietary requirements and preferences of our residents.
* Maintain Hygiene Standards: Operate in a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety regulations.
* Support Kitchen Operations: Assist with day-to-day catering operations, including meal preparation, stock management, and equipment maintenance.
* Manage Budgets: Help control the catering budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources without compromising quality.
* Order Supplies: Submit and manage food orders to ensure consistent availability of fresh ingredients.
* Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the Head Chef, 2nd Chef, and other staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
* Adhere to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, and environmental standards.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is essential.
* Culinary Passion: A dedication to creating fresh, home-cooked meals from scratch, tailored to individual needs.
* Budgeting Skills: Knowledge of recipe costing and food budget management.
* Organisational Abilities: Strong time management and prioritisation skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
* Team Spirit: A friendly and enthusiastic personality with the ability to work collaboratively.
* Qualifications: Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
