Several community Secondary schools, part of a well-established, small Trust across Newcastle, Durham and Darlington, are currently recruiting for Maths Teachers to work with students across KS3, 4 and 5. They are looking for Maths Teachers with QTS, from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to more experienced Maths Teachers, who are seeking the next exciting step challenge in their career.
Maths Teacher:
* 2.1 or 1st in Mathematics or a Maths-related subject (essential)
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Secondary Mathematics (essential)
* Teaching experience as a Maths Teacher in a Secondary school environment (desirable)
* Work with all students aged 11-18, from high-achievers to those with additional needs
* Teach Maths at KS3, Foundation and Higher GCSE Level, and A Level
* Patient when explaining concepts to all students, abilit to break down concepts into understandable chunks, and to change explanation styles to suit different individuals
* Resilience to deal calmly with challenging behaviour, and comptently maintain good order in the classroom
* Full-time, permanent role
* Pay: Main Pay Scale M1 and above (depending on experience and responsibilities)
As a Maths Teacher, you have the opportunity to inspire the next generation of Maths enthusiasts, and help generate genuine passion for Maths among their students. Work with young people aged 11-18, including GCSE and A Level students, supporting their academic development and understanding of Mathematical concepts in-class, teaching a full timetable of core Secondary-level Mathematical concepts.
You will be responsible for planning, delivering and marks all aspects of your timetabled lessons, and to help develop skills and understand in all students, from high-achievers to those with additional needs, requiring extra intervention.
