The role:
As an Engineering/Welding Technology technician at GCS you will work with the delivery team to plan, produce and prepare materials needed for practical sessions in the workshop.
* Full time - 37 hours per week

* £24,691 - £25,217 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
* Work with the delivery team to plan, produce and prepare materials needed for practical sessions in the workshop.
* Monitor material usage levels and inform the Learning Area Manager of any order requirements, utilising IT systems.
* Track and monitor tool usage within the department and inform the Learning Area Manager of any order requirements or servicing of machines.
* Responsible for completing risk assessments with guidance from the health and safety team. Training will be provided if needed.
About you:
* Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject or willingness to work towards.
* Experience within the Engineering industry.
* Proficient use of IT - able to use spreadsheets or willing to be trained.

The successful candidate must go through First Responder training and undertake the duties. Upon completion of training, you will receive an additional £50 per month.
