We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide assistance and support to individuals with various needs including autism and learning disabilities, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives. Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct support to individuals in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
2. Assist individuals with household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
3. Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in social and recreational activities.
4. Monitor and document individuals' progress and report any concerns or changes in behavior to the appropriate supervisor.
5. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working in a similar role is preferred.
2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
