We are looking for a Site Systems Manager in our SDC site (NN7 2QA).
The Site System Manager will lead implementation of systems projects at our new fully automated site, SDC. They will provide technical expertise and interface with the customer to diagnose, troubleshoot, and oversee IT projects and system development activity.
The role will offer a salary range of £55,000-65,000 DOE.

Key responsibilities:
1. Technical Support and System Setup
1. In collaboration with the Site Management, lead and support the implementation of projects to support the IT outputs (internal and external), to ensure the site can meet customer expectations, aligned with current and future activity requirements.
2. Engage with IT Department to gain required support for IT and system improvements, to ensure objectives can be achieved with accepted timelines.
3. Support operational team in carrying out their own internal improvement reviews ensuring any benefits are documented, ensuring activities within own areas of responsibility are closed off in the agreed timescales.
4. Ensure all systems development is delivered to specification, within budget, on time and to expectations.
5. Script writing for User Acceptance Testing and planning of customer implementation.
2. Customer Relationship
1. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with the customer to become the first point of contact for system queries, to diagnose and communicate issues in a timely manner.
2. Manage customer expectations in respect of requests for any systems developments - maintaining a balance between customer needs, the needs of the business, and the capabilities of the system.
3. Ensure that all required activity has been accurately costed, communicated, and approved by the customer, in advance of any work being undertaken.
4. Maintain good communication between the customer and YLUK at all times, ensuring communication is professional, timely, and meets customer expectations.
3. Continuous Improvement
1. Develop and promote initiatives, which enhance the company’s P&L and supports the client in terms of service offering and financial targets.
2. Follow emerging industry trends and technology/tools and promote through business justification to further enhance operations and joint benefits.
3. Identify areas for operational improvements & efficiencies, documenting benefits to YLUK or the customer.
4. Management Reports
1. Produce accurate and timely management information and reporting, including tracking of costs against agreed expenditure, raising at the earliest opportunity both internally and externally any potential variances.
2. Ensure that approved project plans are updated on a regular basis in order that activity can be tracked against expected progress. Ensure that wherever there is a potential for scope creep or deviancies from the agreed plan are communicated to the Line Manager at the earliest opportunity.
5. Team Management
1. To ensure all team members receive the required level of training and development to succeed within their current and future roles, managing and monitoring levels of performance through the annual PDR process, objective setting and any other mechanisms as appropriate, providing appropriate levels of mentoring and support.
2. Ensure all team members are aware of key business outcomes, processes and expectations, delivering all company communications in a consistent and timely manner, providing feedback as appropriate.
3. Promoting and supporting employee engagement activities, ensuring tangible outcomes are identified, implemented and measured.
4. Ensuring due attention is provided to employee welfare, identifying and signposting areas of support where necessary, ensuring functional arrangements are in place to protect the wellbeing of all employees.
5. Ensure all company procedures are managed in a consistent and fair manner, including but not exclusively holidays, PDR, absence, performance, disciplinary. Supporting with business investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes across the organisation as necessary.
Key requirements:
1. Proven track record in a similar role.
2. Good understanding of IT technologies and delivery of systems.
3. Capability to design overall systems solutions to meet specific customer requirements and deliverables.
4. Communicating at all levels from senior management to warehouse personnel.
5. Leading and influencing teams in an environment of change.
6. Warehouse Management Systems experience at a Super User level.
7. Excellent PowerBI skills.
8. Experience of managing projects and achieving tight deadlines.
9. Demonstrable ability to make sound judgement under pressure.
10. Excellent stakeholder management skills.
11. Ability to drive and organise others.
12. Flexible and proactive approach.
13. Very high degree of integrity.
