Head of IT - Birmingham
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Installation Engineer to support the deployment and maintenance of IT hardware and software across our headquarters and restaurant sites. This role involves extensive travel, including overnight stays, to support New Store Openings (NSO) and existing locations.
The ideal location for this role would be in Manchester, Birmingham or anywhere north - This role would include travel from Birmingham up to Scotland for New Store Openings.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hardware installation, networking, and troubleshooting, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with other trades on-site.

Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and support IT hardware and software across multiple sites.
* Provide remote and on-site support for HQ and restaurant locations.
* Set up and troubleshoot TCP/IP networks, ensuring proper device connectivity per network diagrams.
* Configure and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 operating systems, including user profiles and network settings.
* Assemble, install, and maintain data cabinets, switches, and network patching (hardware pre-configured).
* Mount and secure TV brackets, PC brackets, and other hardware at height using step ladders.
* Configure and deploy networked printers (TCP/IP setup).
* Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues, liaising with electricians, shopfitters, and kiosk installation engineers as needed.
* Maintain clear and professional written and verbal communication with team members and stakeholders.
* Manage assigned tasks efficiently while coordinating with the wider IT team for guidance when necessary.
* Undertake additional duties as required within the scope of the role.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Experience in IT hardware installation and troubleshooting.
* Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, device setup, and network issue resolution.
* Proficiency with Windows 10/11, including system configuration and troubleshooting.
* Hands-on experience with data cabinet assembly, network patching, and switch installation.
* Practical skills for mounting and fitting hardware at height.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and adapt to on-site challenges.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
* Ability to travel extensively and stay away from home as needed for project completion.
