We are excited to be working closely with our client, who is seeking a motivated and organised Rental Coordinator / Hire Controller to join their team in Southampton. As part of a supportive, close-knit group, you will enjoy a dynamic role with a diverse range of tasks each day.
About This Rental Coordinator Role
* Permanent position
* Monday to Friday
* Working hours: Monday to Thursday (8am-5pm), Friday (8am-4pm)
* Coordinating with the workshop and delivery drivers
* Managing hire assets and controlling stock levels
* Invoicing and administrative tasks
* Addressing customer rental requirements
* Providing excellent customer service
* Handling phone and email rental enquiries
* Opening new customer accounts
* Monthly reporting and data entry
* Offering general support to colleagues as required (working well within a small team is key)
As a Rental Coordinator You Will Have
* Previous experience in a rental or customer service role (preferred but not essential)
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
* Excellent customer service skills with a team-oriented mindset
* A positive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to work independently
* Calmness under pressure, with the ability to meet strict deadlines
* High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
* Exceptional communication skills at all levels
* A flexible, adaptable approach to a fast-paced and challenging environment
* Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information
* A willingness to learn and develop knowledge of products and processes
* Own transport to commute to and from work
* Sales experience is a benefit
