Accounts Receivable Assistant Bedford (Hybrid) £27,000 per annum Permanent Full time (37 hours per week) An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Accounts Receivable Assistant in bpha’s Finance Team. As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of bpha’s incoming payments. This includes ensuring that payments are reconciled on a timely and accurate basis, direct debits are collected within the scheme rules and the debtor ledger is maintained. Please see the role profile attached for full details, but a summary of what you will be doing is as follows: Responsible for the maintenance of bpha’s bank accounts for area of responsibility, posting transactions on a timely basis. Process monthly nominal ledger reconciliations as directed. Trigger and extract all housing management system interface files daily into the finance system in accordance with the procedure. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the debtor ledger, raising invoices and posting receipts in accordance with the process. To process direct debits collections in accordance with the rules of the Scheme. We’d love to meet someone who has: Experience of the Accounts Receivable function and duties. Excellent numeracy skills and an ability to understand analyse and manipulate information and data Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels Experience of working in a customer focused environment Great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to actively seek and find solutions to problems Able to work on own initiative, be self-motivating and proactive Strong IT skills to include intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and experience using financial accounting systems.
