Job Description:
Position: Deskside Support (Belgium)
Address: Brussels 8, Place Marcel Broodthaers, 1060 Saint-Gilles
1. Investigate causes of unexpected server and service crashes and provide RCA as required for hardware failure.
2. Perform hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, servers, ticketing kiosks, and network devices.
3. Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot OS service packs/patches for Windows and iOS using Intune.
4. Install third-party tools as per guidelines and manage hardware spare stock.
5. Manage and troubleshoot hardware for Windows (x86 & x64), iOS, and VMware ESXi.
6. Coordinate with vendors for the replacement of faulty hardware.
7. Raise, handle, and resolve incidents and work orders.
8. Perform floor walks and report on a daily basis.
9. Create and maintain a knowledge base and central repository for information sharing.
10. Possess knowledge and a good understanding of Active Directory tools and objects (policy, trust, FSMO), DNS, DHCP, Windows Group Policy, etc.
11. Knowledge of the ITIL framework.
12. Knowledge of hardware monitoring tools is an added advantage.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 4+ years of experience as a Deskside Consultant.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
3. Strong customer handling skills.
4. Able to handle unforeseen situations and provide on-call support during site outages.
5. Willingness to travel across continental locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France.
