Role Responsibilities: As Head of Maths, you will: Lead and Develop the Maths Curriculum: Oversee the planning and delivery of a high-quality Maths curriculum that engages and challenges students, helping them progress academically and develop a passion for the subject. Supportive Learning Environment: Work closely with staff to create a structured, safe, and encouraging classroom setting that caters to each student's individual needs and abilities. Collaborate and Strategize: Liaise with teaching and support staff, parents, and external agencies to create comprehensive learning plans and behavior strategies, fostering student success and well-being. Inspire and Mentor: Serve as a role model and mentor, fostering a positive attitude toward learning among students and encouraging a collaborative, supportive culture among staff. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in teaching Mathematics, ideally with prior experience in a leadership or management role within a Maths department. Specialist Education Experience: Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, would be advantageous. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and motivate both students and staff, with a commitment to high educational standards and ongoing professional development.
