Purpose of the role:
The Royal Automobile Club in Epsom is looking for a Gardener to join our amazing Gardening team, working on 350 acres of stunning landscape. This is a unique opportunity that encompasses not only general garden maintenance but also elements of soft and hard landscaping and the creation of bespoke planting schemes.
Working hours: 6.00am-2:30pm Monday Friday, working x 2 half days Saturday and Sunday every 6 weeks.
Responsibilities:
* To carry out the day to day order of works to ensure gardens are at the required standard
* Liaise with Head Gardener on the upkeep and maintenance of estate grounds and gardens
* Carry out all works to the estate garden areas in accordance with the Clubs best practice (beds, borders, hedges, lawns and containers)
About you:
* Horticulture qualification NVQ 2 or RHS level 2
* Full driving licence essential
* Demonstrable managing annuals, perennials, shrubs, etc.
* Previous experience in identifying plant pest and diseases
* Experience in using handheld machinery
* Working in all weathers
* Experience with early start times
* A good knowledge of plant names and identification, Latin preferable' and 'PA1 & PA6 Qualification'
