Gleeds have been successful in securing a number of major projects/programmes wins within the Industrial and Manufacturing sector to support providing professional services.
We have exciting opportunities for Project Managers from Senior to Associate Director level to join our teams in Birmingham or Nottingham. You’ll be working within a sociable environment and be part of a dynamic Project Management team.
You will be responsible for managing the delivery of large-scale Industrial and Manufacturing projects across various locations in the Midlands region. You will provide excellent communication and collaboration with colleagues, programme leads, client representatives, consultants and contractors on site to effectively deliver projects from inception to completion.
To be considered for this position you will need to have experience in construction project management, ideally with prior project management positions with public and central government clients. You will also need to be a British National (British Citizen from birth) as this is an essential requirement for security clearance.
Ideally you will already have SC clearance, however this could be progressed during the period of onboarding.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives
2. Positively engaging with customers and developing, growing and maintaining customer relationships
3. Delivering high quality services and deliverables ensuring that services meet our customer’s requirements.
4. Managing projects and/or programmes to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures
5. Administering contracts as a contract administrator, employer’s agent or project manager
6. Producing and presenting to customers
7. Mentoring and coaching employees so that they realise their full potential
8. Preparing bids for services.
9. Managing service delivery for profit
10. Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance

Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
1. Sound project management and/or programme management experience post qualification in Industrial or Manufacturing sectors.
2. Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques
3. Ability to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent and/or Project Manager
4. Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
5. Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
6. Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
7. Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
8. Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
9. Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
10. Ability to work as part of a team and manage teams.
Qualifications
1. MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or
2. MAPM (Member of the Association of Project Managers) or
3. MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders) or
4. NEC 4 Practitioner/or in the process of obtaining
