Role Overview
Key Responsibilities:
1. To hold the CQC Registration for both Personal Care and Treatment, Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI).
2. The Registered Manager will have wide-ranging responsibilities across these key areas:
Compliance:
1. To maintain safe CQC registration.
2. To ensure the service meets and exceeds the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities), and the Care Quality Commission guidance 'Essential Standards of Quality & Safety'.
3. To ensure we provide Homecare to our clients which is safe, effective, well-led and responsive.
4. To facilitate the delivery of person-centered care that promotes independence, choice and dignity to empower people to live as independently as possible.
5. To ensure care services are structured in a way that provides flexibility, reliability, accessibility and continuity.
6. To ensure care and support packages are carefully assessed, with funding proposals prepared and agreed by the funder.
7. To ensure all Homecare staff are safely recruited, supervised, and supported throughout their employment.
8. To ensure any safety concerns or clinical risks are appropriately reported and managed (inclusive of learning on safeguarding, CQC notifications and other statutory obligations).
Quality Assurance:
1. To oversee good and safe practice in all Homecare activities relating to client care by putting systems in place to robustly assess, provide, record, monitor and evaluate care and services provided.
2. To ensure good communication and links with all stakeholders with regard to the provision of Homecare services including solicitors, Deputies, clients and their relatives, insurance providers and Human Resource experts.
3. To implement and maintain an effective quality assurance program (including audits and surveys) to promote high quality, best practice and continuous improvement of services.
Team Management and Leadership:
1. To manage direct reports from the Homecare team, including leading on recruitment, induction, probation, training, supervision and appraisals of the Homecare team.
2. To ensure there is a coordinated and consistent approach to service provision that is cost effective and efficient.
3. To be routinely involved in leading safe services to the care and support staff in conjunction with the employer: safe recruitment and selection, training, supervision, appraisals, disciplinary/capability procedures, absence management.
4. When necessary and in conjunction with Head of Clinical Support services to arrange and attend regular Homecare service review and planning meetings.

Registered Manager
Location: Saffron Walden
Status: Full-time, with some on-call requirements.
The Registered Manager is responsible for the operational day-to-day management of the Homecare service, ensuring CA Case Management Ltd's compliance with relevant legislation and clinical standards. CA Case Management is a specialist provider of case management services to clients with acquired brain injury, some of whom are also in receipt of CQC regulated Homecare services managed by us. This service accepts instructions from a range of professionals including personal injury and clinical negligence lawyers, insurance companies and Court Appointed Deputies for both adults and children. CA Case Management are part of the HCML Group.

Essential Skills
Essential Requirements:
1. To have held CQC RM registration.
2. 2 years minimum experience working within a CQC regulated service.
3. Knowledge and understanding of current legal responsibilities and standards of the service.
4. Working knowledge of CQC requirements.
5. Be able to meet CQC Registered Manager requirements.
6. Formal healthcare qualification and relevant current registration (NMC, HCPC).
7. Full UK Driving License and access to your vehicle.
Desirable Requirements:
1. Operational management capacity in a health and social care setting.
2. Experience of managing a home care service.
3. Knowledge of Case Management, including the litigation process, and working with Court appointed Deputies.
