LSRP Stroke Team Administrator

Job overview
The LSRP is the multidisciplinary team that manages ongoing rehabilitation needs for people discharged from hospital after having a stroke. We are looking for a proactive administrator to support the team's admin duties which consist of different multi-disciplinary team members.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide administrative support for the LSRP service
2. The routine typing of reports, letters, minutes, memos & general documents.
3. Undertake general office duties including photocopying, filing and distribution of documents
4. Implement secretarial and administrative procedures for own area of work
5. Accept treatment referrals and allocate and amend patient appointments and schedules as requested.
6. Ensure appropriate stock control measures are in place for the ordering and receiving of stationary and clinical supplies.
7. Ensure a full paper trail for all referrals.
8. Act as a first point of contact for the service in relation to enquiries from patients, staff and external contacts.
9. To receive and transmit information verbally/electronically using computer/e-mail/fax.
10. Deal with non-clinical telephone inquiries/queries from patients, GP’s and colleagues in relation to the service
11. Liaise with, and deal with non-clinical queries from other multi-disciplinary agencies.
12. Inform relevant organisations, departments and patients of any impending changes to the service or clinics.
13. Input & maintain LSRP Service Spreadsheets including SSNAP, all referrals and outcomes
14. Produce computer-generated reports and/or statistical information as and when required.

Qualifications
* NVQ 3 business administration or equivalent experience
* RSA 3 Typing/word processing or equivalent
* ECDL or equivalent
Experience
* Experience of working within NHS Administration role
* Experience of Minute taking
* Experience of working with: Microsoft Office, Excel and Access
* Experience of working with spreadsheets/databases
Knowledge
* Good Knowledge and experience of office systems & procedures
Skills
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
