SUMMARY
Our global manufacturing client is looking for a Control Technician to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will support numerous departments in the testing, inspection, evaluation, data collection, and generation of technical compliance documentation. The role is based on site, working across 1 week of earlies, followed by 1 week of lates.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Control Technician, you will be responsible for:
1. Understanding and applying technical requirements in line with regulations and health and safety standards.
2. Performing reviews of manufacturing processes and analysis of components, sub-assemblies, and equipment.
3. Performing in-house product testing as required.
4. Performing random sampling of finished products to confirm specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests ensuring compliance.
5. Ensuring the environment in the clean area is within accepted limits.
6. Determining the requirements, processes, and equipment needed to perform in-house tests.
7. Reviewing and updating applicable technical department standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and forms in line with QMS requirements.
8. Reviewing the technical documentation for each process in product manufacturing and identifying improvements, gaps, or absence, and working with the process owner to complete actions.
9. Managing calibration activities.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for the Control Technician role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a technical or quality role, ideally within a regulated manufacturing industry.
2. Previous experience of internal auditing, inspection, and compliance testing.
3. A degree level qualification within engineering or a science subject (desirable).
4. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with the production team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills.
6. A full UK Driving Licence.
