Role Overview:
As a SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the inclusion and development of students with special educational needs. Working closely with our experienced teaching staff, you will contribute to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
* Collaborate with class teachers to implement and adapt lesson plans to accommodate the diverse needs of students.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional development of students.
* Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies outlined by the SENCo.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant qualifications in Special Education or related field.
* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
