The Company
Due to the ongoing successful expansion of both our commercial enterprises; Spraybake Ltd, Commercial Spraybooths, and Thermalair Ltd, Commercial Heating and Ventilation, we are currently recruiting multi skilled Engineers
Spraybake, incorporated in 1968 carries out the supply, installation, service and maintenance to varied paint spraying industries, be it automotive, commercial, aerospace, and including a significant amount of Ministry of Defence contracts.
Thermalair, celebrating 40 years trading, provides the supply, installation, service and maintenance of Commercial Heating and Ventilation systems
Our Heating business is based primarily around Essex and Suffolk, the Spraybooth businesses operates throughout the UK
Whilst we currently have vacancies in specific areas, primarily East Midlands and the West Country we are always looking for strong Engineers based across the UK
Job Description
The role requires you to undertake planned Service and Maintenance (PPM) to our own Spraybake booths, and a range of other Spraybooth manufacturers
You will attend reactive Call outs to investigate, diagnose and repair faults
You will attend visits to make safe/make good, replace parts, carry out repairs, refurbishments, and upgrades
You may be involved in the refurbishment of Spraybooths and commissioning
Whilst on site, we expect Engineers to evaluate current equipment, propose any beneficial works, repairs, or upgrades, and to report on condition of same
You will proactively identify additional opportunities, services and requirements, by engaging with the customer, and building a relationship
In addition, you will be required to identify additional new businesses, who we may approach to promote our products and services
There may be also be a requirement to attend our Commercial Heating Customers, depending on your experience and the customer location, again this could be planned service and maintenance or reactive call outs, repairs or new installation
Essential requirements
You will have a minimum of 2 years relevant and recent experience
Using your experience and knowledge, you will be able to diagnose and fault find, problem solve, and take responsibility for completing works in good order and on time
Familiar with a varied workload, able to transfer your skills between service and maintenance and reactive works
A good all-round skilled time served Engineer, with a proven history within the same or similar role or industries
Your Qualifications will be: Gas Safe qualified Natural Gas & LPG, CDGA1, CIGA1, COCN1, CORT1, ICPN1
Ideally with an additional Electrical qualification (18th edition) or experience.

You will be fully compliant and aware of current Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations
Any of the following would also be beneficial; PASMA, IPAF, First Aid, Wall-Man Cert, Asbestos Awareness, Occasional climber certificate
Along with the essential requirements of the role you will also
Be able to work independently on your own initiative, or as part of a team as required
You will have excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Be prepared to make early starts and stay away from home for short periods.
Undertake training where necessary
Be familiar with RAMS, permit to works etc
Articulate, you will be able to complete all company and regulatory documentation and reports, in an accurate, clear and concise and prompt manner
Be reliable, have an excellent attendance and time keeping record
Have a full, UK Driving Licence
Provide your Right to work in the UK, if applicable
