Reporting to the Director – Financing Reporting, the Accounts Payable Supervisor plans, organizes and manages the day-to-day operations and activities of a centralized Accounts Payable department. The incumbent assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining high standards of service in the management of fiscal, human and material resources for the department.
The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
Qualifications
1. Degree/Diploma in Business Administration from an accredited business program, majoring in Accounting
2. Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook, with particular competency in the creation and modification of excel spreadsheets
3. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software an asset
4. Two (2) years recent relevant and supervisory experience
5. Previous Accounts Payable experience an asset
6. Previous project work experiences an asset
7. Demonstrated strong communication skills both in oral and written format
8. Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and direct activities
9. Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills
10. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationships
11. Demonstrated ability to work with multiple priorities and competing deadlines, with frequent interruptions
12. Demonstrated ability and willingness to promote positive change
13. Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
