This post will involve cross site working within the Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help carry our service forward during this time. You will provide a high standard of care to patients requiring pre and post operative surgical intervention in a demanding and complex environment. You will already have considerable post registration theatre experience and possess a post registration mentorship or equivalent teaching qualification. Managerial skills include staff recruitment and retention, reducing and managing sickness absence, staff appraisals, risk assessment and coordination of the team. Staff training and education including clinical governance and clinical supervision to support development of the team. Our theatre team is multidisciplinary, including Theatre Support Workers, Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners, Surgeons and Anaesthetists.We deliver high standards of patient care through the perioperative journey. We cover many specialities including general surgery, trauma, obstetrics, urology, colorectal, orthopaedic and gynaecology. our theatres are cross site with 6 in our Hartlepool site and 11 in North Tees. This involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and manage on a daily basis.
