Registration Service: Registration Officer
We are currently recruiting…
A Registration Officer to work at Lancaster Registration Office. This is a permanent role, and you will work 37 hours per week and this will include some evening/weekend and bank holiday cover.
The role is to
1. to undertake duties attached to the registration of Births, Deaths and Still births.
2. attest notices of marriage and civil partnerships
3. register or conduct statutory and non-statutory ceremonies at registration offices, religious buildings and other approved premises within the local authority.
4. provide management support to the team in the absence of the team manager.

The Registration Service creates accurate and timely records of all Births, Still-Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships and makes provision for couples to give notice of their intention to marry or to form a Civil Partnership.
Your new role…
We are looking for someone who is customer focussed, confident using digital resources and committed to effective team working. You will havesupervision experience with the skills to manage and motivate a team of staff and provide technical advice and support .
You will also need to communicate effectively with a range of audiences and have the ability to work independently and manage resources .
